My health journey

From chasing skinny to aging strong…

You might assume I’ve always been health-conscious—that I was born craving kale and 6 a.m. workouts.

I wasn’t.

I grew up around amazing food—my dad owned an ice cream shop and a food truck before it was trendy! I developed a deep love for all things fried, sweet, and comforting. Like many of my clients, I didn’t grow up with great nutrition—and I wasn’t exactly athletic either.

By the time the ‘80s rolled around, the era of diet culture and Jane Fonda workouts was in full swing. Like so many women, I became body-conscious and started dabbling in exercise and dieting—but always as a means to an end: a goal weight, a jean size, a reunion, a beach vacation.

And once that “end” arrived? Diet and exercise were no longer a priority.

The habits never stuck.

Fast-forward to my 30s: I was a working mom, juggling all the things, and desperate to lose the baby weight. I needed energy. I needed me time.

I found both in running—and then some. I became a marathoner, personal trainer, and bootcamp junkie. I chased every “fit” trend.

On the outside, I looked strong. But on the inside, I was underfed, burned out, hormonally out of balance, and running myself into the ground.

“I was doing everything “right”, but feeling very wrong.”

Eventually, I realized the “eat less, exercise more” model wasn’t working for me. In fact, it was causing more harm than good—
especially during the rollercoaster of peri-menopause.

So I hit pause.
I redefined what health meant for me—not a smaller jean size or a lower number on the scale, but real, lasting metabolic, hormonal, and functional health.

Strength over skinny
Mobility over mileage
Nourishment over restriction
Energy, sleep, and hormone health over scale obsession

These days, I still move daily—just smarter, not harder.
I’m strong enough to lift heavy things, and fit enough to run “Fun Runs” with my granddaughters.

This is what aging strong looks like.

And it’s what I help my clients build for themselves—on their terms.

Today, I prioritize…

Why I coach…

Coaching, to me, is all about service.

I serve my clients as they pursue the healthiest version of themselves—inside and out.

And in doing so, they become more energized, confident, and capable of service others. That’s what gets me out of bed in the morning.

Over the past 12+ years, I’ve worked with hundreds of midlife men and women who want more than a weight-loss plan. They want strength, energy, vitality—and a sustainable lifestyle they can live for decades to come.

As a coach, I bring:

  • Certifications in fitness, nutrition, health coaching, and behavior change

  • 12+ years experience coaching midlife clients online

  • Ongoing education in hormone health, corrective exercise, and more

But more than anything—I bring lived experience.

I’ve walked this road. I know what works—and what’s just noise.

And I can’t wait to show you what’s possible.

You are not past your prime.
Let’s find your second wind…
