The Optimal Sleep Temperature for Health

Last week, Energy Star, a federal program that provides information to consumers about energy efficiency practices, came out with home thermostat recommendations. I could not believe my eyes when I read their recommendation for sleep temperature! In fact, neither could a few of my clients who forwarded me the link to the article asking for my thoughts. My clients know that I preach the importance of sleep for overall health, habit formation, and body fat regulation (among other things), and we all were a bit surprised at this thermostat advice. Honestly, I was a bit angry.

So…in this Facebook Live, I’m setting the record straight on the optimal sleep temperature and why you should make sleep a top priority for overall health. At the end, I’ll give you a few other sleep tips beyond room temperature that you can start implementing tonight!
